Poems have been written for ages for love;
What can I possibly add to enlighten?
Love finds its source in the heavens above,
Love's an emotion our spirits to brighten.
Love of our family, love for a friend,
Love for one person you choose to complete you.
Love will not falter and love will not end;
Love's treating others as you'd have them treat you.
All this is true, but there's nothing unique:
People have said it before (and much better).
Where is the nugget of wisdom I seek
So I will not remain solely a debtor?
Here's an idea: love must be expressed.
If it's kept hidden, there's no substance to it.
Love from afar is a meaningless quest;
Love must be active, involved
so go do it!
